Call On Me

“The LORD will be king over the whole earth. On that day there will be one LORD, and his name the only name." Zechariah 14:9

Should I be surprised that while I am cursing Michael Hastings and his sub level contemptuous and unethical move, my friendly acquaintances' blogs are glorifying him?
Nope.

There are a number of aggravating issues I would like to scream out loud, including the feasible happening of me decking the unfortunate next person who walks on the left side of the sidewalk, steps, etc and smack dab into my forearm.

But...

Years ago my pastor, Dr. Michael Youssef wrote a book about Islamic Fundamentalism making a widespread push into Western countries. People ignored his words. He grew increasingly frustrated and at Christian congregations blindness to this impending fact.
In his anger, he cried out to the Lord.
You know what God told him?

Don't blow fire, light a candle. And that day Leading the Way was born, taking the very holy tru word of the gospel into the houses and hearts of those who want to attack us.

Would you call that mud in their eye?

Well Founded

Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth. John 17:17

"Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt." Abraham Lincoln

While this miserable leftist ideologue woman whines on about The Bible being a work of fiction for a childlike audience...>>>

I find I am proud to be a conservative moderate amongst the likes of these able, intellectual and opinionated strong arms of the rather sexy female persuasion.

Ladies, are you paying attention?

Bang Your Box

Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy. Psalm 47:1

I Love New York: Reason 101

The city of New York has placed 60 beautifully adorned pianos in parks and public places.

And the creatively talented are painting the generous ivory canvases.

The Commission

"The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it. There came a man who was sent from God; his name was John. He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all men might believe." John 1:5-7

I prayed with a girlfriend this morning who is leaving on a mission trip to Uganda. I prayed the Lord would keep His hand on her and that she would be a shining example of the Love of Jesus Christ. But more importantly, be convicted on today's true priorities through the eyes of these African children who sing love, love, love.

Daily Bread

"I am not insane, most excellent Festus," Paul replied. "What I am saying is true and reasonable." Acts 26:25

Tonight, I will stifle all maniacal rants concerning left liberal rock n roll journalists putting our very lives in danger to satisfy his own brain dead readership ego.

Mmmm.

There I was on a bright eyed and bushy tailed morning bus out of Port Authority to Paramus, New Jersey when the robust Polish man with hairy ears and cataract eyes sits next to me and turns his cockeyed ARMY hat to face front.
"You're soul will go up to heaven."
"I know this", I replied.
"But first, you will spend 150 years in purgatory. I know this because you are friendly."
"I don't believe in purgatory" I said to him.
"Ahh, that's cause your people from Northern Europe abused your bodies with sex that you reject what I know."

Moving Seats.

There I was in my Improv class when the limping crackhead comes through the door and starts emptying the contents of his well traversed backpack onto the ground during my scene.
And instead of following the pleading wishes of the instructor to leave, he pushes his comic books aside and participates in an improvisation sketch beside me. Quite well actually...
After being encouraged to sit down once again..he raises his shaking, chapped hand and says.

"It's bery obious dat ebby won here is acking diffent din in normal sssociety. Das Improv. I like it."
And with that, he fell off the bench in which he landed, smacked his head against the sharp corner of the stage, came to, gathered his meager belongings, and excused himself from class with his hand on his crotch.

We continued in the spirit of yes skit.

"It may be normal, darling; but I'd rather be natural." Truman Capote

Oh New York.

As most people expend tremendous energy to appear normal...
Who can you believe?

Distraction Action

"No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." 1 Corinthians 10:13

Did this include the sultry nights in NY where everyone is consuming joy juice and revealing the barest of legs?

I crawl past the NYPD, shining lights on the copulating bodies in Madison Square Park and successfully wipe the soot of the day off and into the long miles of Manhattan sewer.

Do you succumb?
