The Things They Sacrifice-The NY Saga

"Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked." Psalm 84:10

It is
an ugly city, a dirty city. Its climate is a scandal. Its politics are used to frighten children. Its traffic is madness. Its competition is murderous. But there is one thing about it-once you have lived in New York and it has become your home, no other place is good enough.
- John Steinbeck

Sandwiched between an East River Run and spontaneous alfresco Alphabet City draughts....
I went House Hunting.

The Hunt. To be taken literally in Manhattan.
You are nervously alert, out for the kill before the hungry savage close on your heels can point their gun and pull the trigger; Fighting for that choice Ten Pointer between 2nd and A, not East of B and certainly not north of 14th. And if you hesitate for a second, the prize has gone to the swifter hand.

It's 500 square feet with lots of light for $2000 a month season and the early bird catches the worm.

If man can live in Manhattan, he can live anywhere.
- Arthur C. Clarke

Would you...could you?
